We’ve got some great new features and improvements in this latest release of 7pace Timetracker for TFS 3.1.8 and Timetracker for VSTS M103.
“Times Explorer” Page Access Expanded!
Now every 7pace Timetracker team member can access and use the power of the “Times Explorer” page for their personal time records on the new “Times Explorer” (Personal Data Only) page. What was previously a page only accessible to the “Product”, “Budget” and “Administrator” roles of 7pace Timetracker, is now available to everyone.
When an administrator adds team members to the “Team” user role on the “Configuration” tab of Timetracker, those users can now access a special version of “Times Explorer”, featuring just their tracked time records (higher user roles can view all team members’ time records).
New Filters in “Timesheet” Let You View the Page Your Way!
New filter functionality on the “Timesheet” page allows you to choose to “View by This Week’s Iterations” (you can turn this feature “On” or “Off”) to view work items from the selected week’s iterations, then choose to view “My Items Only” (by clicking the corresponding checkbox) which populates items from the current iteration assigned to you only, or you can uncheck the box to see items assigned to the whole team. If “View by This Week’s Iterations” is off, then only your items with time records remain. You can also filter by “Current Project“.
We’ve also added convenient “+” and “-” buttons to expand and collapse the work item tree on the “Timesheet” page. And now, when a user clicks on a cell within the Timesheet table and then selects the “New Time” button, the resulting “Add/Edit Time Record” dialog box “Date” field defaults to the exact date of that cell.

Time tracking can actually be valuable for your team and your organization. But first, you and all your team members need a complete shift in the way you frame time tracking as part of your work.
